Son Playstation 3 Wires

Report of the fourth stage of the Landmarks Bialystok

In the fourth step dealt with the monuments of Bialystok. We decided to present this theme in an unusual way. With our city is linked to John Clement Branicki one of the largest Polish magnates eighteenth century, the Grand Hetman. We assumed that part of our group will play the captain of relatives and with It will explore the contemporary Bialystok. To meet this challenge, we wanted to borrow costumes from the Drama Theatre. Alexander Węgierko in Bialystok. We assumed also that part of the film inside nakręcimy most prominent monument of the Bialystok-Branicki Palace. We had to write the first two applications asking for the loan of costumes, the second turn, in order to get permission to film inside the palace. Written applications are given below. In the final step, however, for organizational reasons, not rented a costume from the palace, we managed in another way - the effect can be seen on film. Twice also tried on the realization of our movie script. Mobilized, even our friends from school, not taking part in the project earlier, to help us (in our current group are the girls). For the first time we chose an unlucky time recording, it was snowing and very few of our assumptions are realized (see link to the movie palace Branicki). The second time was a lot better, the city beautiful sun shining. Hetman from a walk with his wife and shot the film, which are outlined below. Include a few pictures from our trip.
Our next task was to visit the cathedral in Bialystok and interview with the conservator working there Maciej Dabrowski. During the interview we learned many interesting things about the conservation work carried out at the pulpit, the baptismal font in the frontal and the old parish church. The Lord gave us a tender story of renewal of one of the altars are in the Department of Bialystok. We also had a chance to see the items in the workshop that there were currently being renovated. We learned, as applied gilding for example, fragments of clouds appear later in the church over the pulpit, or in the frontal and baptistery. None of us have not yet realize that the gilding is done by using light as a feather flap gold (it was even hard to pick.) For sure the next time you visit the church, looking at the restored baptistery, recall the look of the studio and we remember how many different "experts" had with her work that was in the final shape. Below are excerpts from an interview conservator.
Not all the monuments we have discussed the movie made. Are matching, therefore, the additional information in the guides, websites and put them below.

Renovation - Interview

Interview with Maciej Dabrowski
Wieremiejuk Emily: How did it happen that you were conservator, or from the beginning it was your dream job?

Maciej Dabrowski: I had to be a painter, but it did not work out. There I attended art school. Later, after the regular school high school I chose the Academy of Fine Arts. I knew a man who saw the finished maintenance. I used to come to his studio and I decided that this would be the direction of my education. I was able to successfully finish this department. Then I started working.

EW: Have you worked only in Bialystok?

MD: I have worked in different cities, usually doing small objects. I was in such cities as Warsaw, Lublin, Bielsko-Biala. I stayed well as abroad, but only occasionally.

EW: Are you in the course of study he left somewhere?

MD: Yes, I left. I visited a part of Egypt, I worked in the district of Coptic. I had to know how the monuments, preserves and show off their skills in practice.
EW: What work you performed in Bialystok?

MD: I recently worked on maintenance towers - latarenek located on the roofs of small buildings, so well, making up a fence Branicki Palace. I also worked in the maintenance of a side altar in the Cathedral, now am working in a small parish church.

EW: Can you tell us about it tell you?

MD: When the church was the maintenance, old paintings were discovered, namely those that come from foundations Branicki, that the founders of the church in such a design, in what is now, but with some changes. As we all probably know, this little church was the only one, and is currently cut off at the sanctuary, that is the part of the altar, which entered into as if it fitted with same church, which stands behind it (if it is glued to it.) Therefore, main base of the altar and the pulpit are compared to the original form. I did not take part in these works, so I will not speak on this topic. More than a dozen, maybe even twenty years ago were done pits that altar - and all baseboards Mensa, so now with this deal. Home plaque, which adorned Mens - antependium with gilded bas-reliefs of the presentation is in the studio and I can show it to you, because, in principle, is finite. The pulpit was in another place and had a different form. Canopy did in that year, now also appears in the church baptistery, which for a long time was in the sacristy of the large parish church. She was to be maintained, but now is also in the studio, then it'll show.

EW: Is next to a large parish church of the Lord dealt with maintenance?

MD: Yes, renovated by side altar, which has long not been renewed, just since the mid 70's. Covered with a thick layer of dust it and all the gilding require renewal. The whole is made of plaster, adhesive plaster mass in different forms. The main architecture of the plaster casts, which are glued together the steel frame and wood. Midtones at the bottom, so-called rustication, which appear to you in marble, it is kind of a technique called stucco and are also made from the mass of adhesive plaster.

EW: What shows this picture?

MD: It represents the Mother of God. Once a year, from the altar, puts a picture of the Transfiguration. It covers the entire niche.

EW: Are you involved in drobniejszymi work?

MD: I preserves baptistery. I wanted to look like a relic of his era, so I kept some old gilding, but the rest I made from scratch. Currently I am finishing the clouds, which soon will be in the pulpit.

EW: What is the process execution such a figure?

MD: First, the wood is placed soil composed of chalk and glue. Then we put several layers of the same substance. After a short time begin to grind to the shape you want to achieve. Then applied sequentially pulmentu backing, we can say that this is a kind of clay. Then we secure a special glue, apply the gold, and polish the re-secured.

EW: How long does the implementation of such a facility?

MD: I think about 2 to 3 weeks. Since I have to several of these clouds do not pay me to do alone. It takes more time and more labor-intensive.

EW: A bas-relief decorating the small pieces of gold you like clouds?

MD: No, where there was a flat surface, I would put my whole petal, a 8x8 cm, how you look at the light, it can be seen here and the border. However, when I had to use smaller embossed parts.

EW: What work are you most liked?

MD: The most graceful in the end are the smaller elements of the studio, because they require more precision and commitment.

EW: Thank you for the interview.
